How can I register for a library card and what are the requirements?

To register for a library card you must be located in Haiti or Ivory Coast and fill out the registration form here. You must be a current student and identification is required when signing up. Valid/current identification such as driver’s licence or non drivers licence, school registration card with name, or photo ID with an address are acceptable. For further inquiry, reach out to our team here.

How do I borrow materials?

Access our Library page here to log into your account. You can also download the Libby application to access our library collections. Use the same username and password when signing up for the library card to gain access.

What if a book I want isn't currently available in the collections?

We are working diligently to add new books to our collections. If a book is not available, you can send suggestions to us here and we will assess the need to buy. You will be notified about recently added books if you opt in to receive notifications about our services.

How many items can I borrow and for how long?

Users can check out 1 book at a time for a period of 21 days. Users can borrow up to 12 books per year.

What do I do if I forgot my password?

If you've forgotten your password, or want to create a password, submit your Username here using the email address registered to your account. If you need further assistance, please contact our team at care@lareleve.org.

Is the library digital card free?

Yes, thanks to the support of many generous donors, foundations, and companies.

Can I apply for Larelève's library card or access the library collections anywhere in the world?

No, access to apply is restricted to the countries that we currently serve. As of now, access is only granted to users living in the United States, Haiti, and Ivory Coast. As we grow, we will be granting access to more countries. Follow us on social media for more announcements.

How can I intern?

We are on a mission to create a world of lifelong readers and learners. We offer volunteering internships year-round that provide work experience and personal development. Our volunteering internships are non-paid and run the length of a semester. The work you will be involved in will impact the lives of children and youth around the world.
